The MA Special Election for US Senator
After scanning the side-by-side comparisons of the Senate and House draft Health Care Reform bills, I am now more than ever convinced that the voters of MA (and most of America, beware in November 2010) want a 100% fresh start on the health care debate, with a concentration on limited government, decreased spending and taxes, and public and open debate of the topic - exactly the opposite of what has been going on.
The key quote that Senator Elect Brown made was, IMHO, that the "seat" belonged to the people. Washington has seemed to forget that they are supposed to represent the will of the people. Instead, their arrogance and disdain for tea partiers, truck drivers and plumbers, as well as closed door secret sessions and back office deals, will lead to more and more Scott Brown events in the upcoming elections...
